Life gets crazy stressful and overwhelming, it always does. Finding your way to deal is essential. Whether it be writing, running, sewing, singing, or roller skating, have some freaking fun!
You miiiight even be lucky enough to channel that passion and creativity into a blossoming side business, like our latest Lady Boss, Jamie Kessinger.
Jamie is the owner and pie-baking genius behind Teeny Tiny Pies, and we are kind of in love with her and her contagious happiness. We also LOVE PIE. Itty bitty, delectable pies too cute to not squeal over and they’re made by this babe?! Believe us, it’s real.
Jamie’s baking influence began with her Irish mother welcoming people into their home and feeding all who came. Food brings people together and makes everyone happy!
“I have lived nearly my whole life in Springfield. My incredible husband, Jeff, and I have five beautiful kids: Victoria, 15; Ava, 9; Carolina, 8; Romey and Finnegan, 16 months. When I’m not changing diapers, driving kids around or baking pies, I am also a barber at Hudson Hawk Barber Shop. I have been in the hair industry for 3 years and absolutely love it. I guess I just love making people feel good, either with a badass haircut or a tasty pie in their belly.”
These are two of Jamie’s favorite recipes, blueberry and lemon meringue, and you need to try them immediately. They’re only $3/pie, and prices change with large orders! It’s just TOO GOOD to not order!
She also has a collection of cute-as-pie aprons! We love vintage-style aprons almost as much as we loved hanging out with Jamie and Jeff. They’re an inspiring team to watch as they encourage and love each other, and that’s the kind of people we like to surround ourselves with!
Whether Jamie is giving you a fabulous haircut at Hudson Hawk Barber Shop, or feeding your sweet tooth with her signature lemon meringue pie, she’s making the Springfield area a happier place to be.
