Thanksgiving may be over, but that doesn’t mean we’re done with the sweet stuff.
Remember those super luxe, colorful photo shoots a la David LaChapelle in the ‘90s? We do, and we were inspired by a few of our favorites for this photo shoot with our girl, Sophie Aydt.
She’s been killing it on the runway since she was 15 and to help her ring in her 18th, we decided on an ultra femme shoot featuring vintage and handmade pieces paired with skirts and dresses found at The Review Shoppe.
What could make this shoot even sweeter?
We paired up with our friends at Hurts Donut and accessorized a few of the shinier pieces with a little bit of what we love most.
Some of our favorite flavors were their Caramel Delight – it tastes just like a Girl Scout cookie!
We also had a pretty hard time keeping our hands off of the Bart Simpson – a classic donut with pink frosting and sprinkles! These guys are open 25 hours a day / 8 days a week and they just opened their second location on Republic Road in Springfield! You know what that means….DONUTS ALL THE TIME!
Lindberg’s Tavern is one of our favorite spots to shoot because of the great lighting it offers and it’s prime location on historic Commercial Street. If you haven’t had a chance to check out their new food menu, we definitely recommend it. Try the Poutine. You’re welcome.
Sophie shines in this gold mini dress we love from The Review Shoppe.
Holiday parties are on their way and what good are they if not for busting out the shimmery dresses you’ve been saving since spring? Pair with neutral (black, it’s always black) tights and you’re ready to charm the pants off your fellow party-goers!
We couldn’t resist pairing a burlesque-inspired pink feather bralette with a perfect fringed black skirt we also scored from The Review Shoppe. Tres Cabaret, no?
Just remember! We love shopping The Review, and while they have multiples of some of their styles, upscale re-sale often means they only carry one or two of each piece so don’t be afraid to go home with your favorites.
