We are constantly asked where we buy our clothes, and people are always disappointed when the answer is “Everywhere!!”.
We have a little bit of an addiction, but instead of delving into the issues around that, we’ll share our know-how that comes from constantly looking for beautiful things to make us happy.
The problem isn’t not knowing where to shop, it’s not knowing how to shop. While part of it is just happening across the right something and having a breath-catching moment with a pair of perfect heels you’ve only dreamed about, it’s also learning how to be an efficient shopper.
Know your body type and what makes you look the best. Try on everything! Even if it looks totally weird on the rack. Learn what styles flatter your figure. If something about it makes you not want to put it down right away, what’s the harm in trying it on? That’s when we have found some of our favorite and most-complimented pieces, like these!
Notice what brands retain their quality. The dresses that fall apart quickly or pants that lose their shape before lunch are almost never worth it.
Use your phone. With all the coupons sent with email subscriptions and money saving apps (like RetailMeNot), there’s really no reason not to.
Find a shopping companion. Whether it be a friend, mom, or an acquaintance with fab style, take someone with you whose style you like, and will be honest with you.
Thrift! It takes a little bit more time, but when you find something you love for under $10 like we did with this romper, it’s so worth it.

Before buying, ask yourself these questions:
Does it need repair? If yes, is it still worth it?
Is the material worth the price? Is it worth dry cleaning if it can’t be washed? How does the fabric feel?
Does it fit correctly? If you are willing to alter it, go for it! But if you know you will just leave it sitting in your closet, don’t buy it.
What do I have to wear with this? Like we did with Cori below, mix and match! If you don’t have at least two things, skip it.
