For our first ever “Girlfriend’s” post we worked with Co-Creator Becca Kennedy’s bestie since 2007 and first-ever college roomie, Monica Boehmer. This classy broad is one of our favorites for her glass-half-full of champagne attitude and dedication to perfection.
For this shoot we decided to work with one of our favorite boutiques in Springfield, The Review Shoppe across from Battlefield Mall on Glenstone. We paired the looks with one-of-a-kind locally made jewelry sold at our favorite downtown gallery space, language school, and locally made clothing boutique: Arts & Letters. Monica was fresh from a romantic cruise in the Caribbean with her husband when we scheduled the shoot so we chose a few looks that would highlight her bitchin’ tan and show off her amazing shoulders and super cute booty.
Monica currently works overnights at Mercy Hospital like a boss. She graduated from Missouri State University in 2011 with a degree in Digital Film Production and worked with KOLR-10 as a Production Assistant as well as in St. Louis as a Production Assistant for the X-Factor. She’s happily married to the man of her dreams (they’re the cutest) and because the two work overnights together they spend their days re-watching Star Wars and acting out the battle scenes with their Lightsabers or arguing over who the best Hobbit characters are.
Becca: “She’s the most random, goofy, genuine person. That person who will pick you up from the side of the road at 3 a.m., all bright eyed and bushy tailed and we always described ourselves as each other’s “person”. We’ve both had those weird dark spells but we’ve never had to explain them to one another because we just get it.”
And with a love like that, you know you should be glad.
